THE SAMPLE is the completed mock-up of the Heart Shaped Button Up. Being the designer's first completed garment for a first year's sewn construction class. The garment is marked with pattern notes and construction lines, shedding light to the raw process of garment assembly and garment sampling. The piece was tailored to the designer using a traditional menswear button up shirt block pattern.

The garment was first ideated and sketched before assuming construction. Made with raw 100% cotton muslin and recycled buttons. The garment included finished hems using a double fold bias tape and seams, completing the final mock-up of the Heart Shaped Button Up.
